Privacy Policy

How we handle the personal data you share with us through this website.

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this website is Trek and Roll SLU , operating as Mallorca Hiking.

2. What we collect, and why

Contacting us (email, WhatsApp, phone)

When you write or call us we receive the details you choose to give — typically your name, email address or phone number, and your message. We use it only to reply to you and to plan the activity or trip you asked about. The website has no forms, so we collect nothing through it.

Website assistant (chatbot)

You can ask our website assistant questions. Your messages are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate an answer. We do not store chatbot conversations, and the assistant does not collect your contact details — to reach the team, use email, WhatsApp or phone.

Technical data

Our server keeps standard request logs (including IP address and browser type) for security and to prevent abuse of the site.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage only for small conveniences (for example, keeping your current chatbot conversation while you browse). That information never leaves your device.

3. Legal basis

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and reply to you, acting on our instructions:

Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and trade-request data for as long as needed to deal with your request and for our records afterwards — normally up to 24 months , after which it is deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period for security.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format. To do any of this, email info@mallorcahiking.com.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
