A gentle, mostly downhill stage of the Dry Stone Route, linking Deià and Sóller between the sea on one side and the mountain wall on the other.
Good for most fitness levels and families with older children — a gentle day, though the ground is rarely flat.
From Deià the path drops straight away through olive groves on a cobbled trail — with a short detour down to the cove at Cala Deià if the group fancies it — then settles into an easy rhythm of lanes and tracks winding through farmland and terraces. The little hamlet of Llucalcari appears about halfway.
The Can Prohem finca is a natural stop for a drink and the first proper view of Sóller. From there you choose your ending: carry on through the Muleta valley to the lighthouse and the port, or take the old Camí des Rost — track, cobbles and a stepped donkey trail — down into Sóller town itself.
Guide’s tipDecide early whether you’re finishing in Sóller town or down at the port — the last hour is different for each, and the light on the descent is best mid-afternoon.
