A short classic loop above Sóller — a steep start, then easy cobbled trails with the whole valley laid out below.
Good for anyone reasonably fit and happy with a few hours on their feet over uneven ground. No special experience needed.
The one real effort is the climb straight out of Sóller; after that it is gentle going on donkey trails, dirt tracks and country lanes through what feels like endless olive terracing. You cross the single-track Palma–Sóller electric railway a couple of times and pass a string of tiny homesteads and grand old fincas.
Can Prohem, now a guest house, is the turnaround: freshly squeezed orange juice, home-baked cake and the view from its terrace. The way back drops to Sóller by a different but equally lovely route. Plenty of woodland shade makes this a good one for a warm day.
Guide’s tipGet the steep bit out of the way in the cool of the morning; the reward is orange juice and cake on the Can Prohem terrace with the whole valley below.
