A gentle loop from Sóller through citrus country to Biniaraix and Fornalutx — two of the loveliest villages on the island.
Good for anyone reasonably fit and happy with a few hours on their feet over uneven ground. No special experience needed.
You leave Sóller through the main square and down Carrer de sa Lluna, past the Can Prunera gallery, then trade the old streets for orange and lemon orchards. Biniaraix comes first, at the foot of its famous ravine, with cobbled lanes and a tiny plaça; from there a country lane climbs steadily to a col, the views widening the whole way up.
The drop to Fornalutx goes down an old stone path through olive terraces to a village that regularly wins "prettiest in Spain". There are bars for a break before an easy meandering return past the little cemetery, through ancient woods and the hamlet of Binibassí, and back into Sóller.
Guide’s tipFornalutx is the natural coffee stop; sit in the plaça a while before the meander back through the old woods and Binibassí.
