NEW OPEN GROUP HIKE 2026
Discover this guided open group hike on Thursdays starting from 12th March 2026 in English, led by a local licensed Mallorca hiking guide since 2009, from Port d'Andratx to Sant Elm via the wellknown red passage “Es Pas Vermell”. This moderate 6 km trail (430 m elevation gain, 3 hours walking + breaks) is perfect for fit adults and children who love hiking (min. 12 years age), with small groups limited to max 10 participants for a personal experience.
Breathtaking Views
Sweeping coastal panoramas reveal turquoise bays and the dramatic Dragonera Island silhouette. At Pas Vermell (300 m), enjoy the breathwaking views over: Cabrera Island's distant outline, pine ridges, and Sant Elm's white charm nestled in cliffs—Mallorcan magic at its best.
Trail Surface & Difficulty
Serpentine paved roads transition to wide dirt tracks, rocky singletrack, and stone steps softened by pine needles. Grippy trail shoes advised; short washed-out sections add gentle thrill. Rated as a easy to moderate hike it includes; steady first-half ascent, flowing descent—suitable for strong teens/families.
Flora, Fauna & Sights
Wild thyme, rosemary, Aleppo pines, and strawberry trees scent the air; spot Bonelli's eagles, Sardinian warblers, lizards, and shy goats amid ancient dry-stone walls (pedres) evoking shepherd heritage.
Meeting Point
Meet just outside the Club de Vela Portd'Andratx (free parking in the "white zone" street). From here, we start our walk. Reach Port d'Andratx easily via interurban TIB bus 101 from Palma/Estació Intermodal at Plaza España (50 min). After finishing in Sant Elm, take TIB bus 121 back to Port d'Andratx (15 min) to retrieve your car or continue to Palma.
