Walking Mallorca (Majorca)

This is an excellent value fully inclusive walking holiday based in a very tranquil part of Mallorca's south west. Your holiday here will be a real "get away from it all" break and at the same time you'll experience many of the island's real treats. There are some fantastic walks right on the door-step but your itinerary combines these, with some in other fabulous locations. You'll get to walk some of the island's classic routes.

Sant Elm

Sant Elm is a tiny fishing village on the extreme west coast of Mallorca – it is literally “at the end of the road”. In season the village can get quite busy as the beach is popular with locals, and there are a number of bars and restaurants and little shops in the main street. Out of season however, the place is exceptionally quiet.

This is the perfect “get away from it all” base for those of you who want to leave your busy city lives behind for a few days. The walks in this area are fabulous and many are right on your door-step.

The village has some dramatic coastline and fabulous views of the island of Dragonera, which sits – like a sleeping dragon – just off the coast. It is now a nature reserve but it is possible to take a small boat across the water and explore the island. This might be something you would like to do on your guide’s day off!

Walking Itinerary

Your walking itinerary includes 5 days’ guided walking.

On average we will walk 4-5 hours per day. On two days we will walk from, and return to the hotel on foot. On the 3 other days we have a short transfer to the start of our walk and we will be brought back to the hotel at the end of the day. Over the course of the week we will visit 4 delightful and stunning coastal towns further along the north-western coast of the island – Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, Deia and Sóller. On each walking day we will have a picnic lunch at an appropriate spot along the way.

The walks we will incorporate in this itinerary are W-SW01, W-SW02, W-NW01, W-NW08, W-NW11.

Wednesday is your day off. You are free to rest and relax, explore on your own, take a day trip to Palma, or enjoy one of the other activities we can organize for you….

Hotel

Your hotel is a friendly, family-run business on the waterfront, with fabulous sea views.

The 24 bedrooms are simple but clean and comfortable. All bedrooms have en suite shower rooms (no baths!) and many have balconies with sea views. They all have heating and air conditioning.

A large sun terrace with chairs and loungers also gives direct access down to the sea. The water is crystal clear and more than tempting!

The hotel restaurant is open to the public as well as to residents, and it is well known for its typical and traditional Mallorcan cuisine. You will get to try and enjoy many of the local specialities throughout your week’s stay!
