Castle Ruins and Panoramic Views (1)

A fabulous circular walk taking in one of the island's most historic sites, the ruined Castell d' Alaro. If the grade and the length of the walk seem a bit much for you then there is a shorter and easier version, which is always a big hit - see Ref. W-NW05.

Circuit out of Valldemossa and along the Archduke's Bridleway

This walk is a real treat and the good news is that the length and difficulty of the route can be varied to suit most walkers' abilities and energy levels! This particular walk duration and grade apply to a moderate circuit but including an ascent of the Teix makes it a much longer and more difficult hike. The climb out of the valley is steep, but it is well worth the effort for the rewards when you've reached the top - we get the most amazing views to Deia and Puig Major beyond!

A gentle circuit around Cala Ratjada

This delightful easy circular walk is full of variety and Mallorcan charm! Cala Ratjada is not necessarily known for its walking, but on this route we discover a small corner of the island with a stunning coastline, a very active fishing port, and a lovely coastal resort with a very different atmosphere to those in the south-west or north western parts of the island.

Coastal hike from the Ermita de Betlem to Can Picafort

This is an easy walk with lots of opportunities for coffee breaks, swims in the sea and even a chance to take in some prehistoric ruins from around 500-10BC! This is a fabulous part of the island and it is, in our opinion, very under-rated from a walkers' perspective. We have given this walk a "blue boot" only because of the distance involved, but of course it doesn't need to be this long - we can stop anywhere along the coast, making it a very easy walk indeed!

Cap de Ferrutx & the NE coastline

The north eastern corner of Mallorca has some fantastic, and still very under-rated, walks. It is far less popular with walkers than the north west or even the south west of the island, and yet it is equally stunning - in a very different way. This is a gentler landscape with a very special atmosphere. Here the seas are azure blue and the coastline is indented by lots of small coves and beaches with white sand and views that stretch as far as Menorca...
