A Feast of Flora & Fauna on Na Burgesa

The Serra de Na Burgesa is relatively unknown to walkers and yet it is just behind Palma and overlooks some of the busiest parts of the south-western coastline. In fact this is part of the magic - we look down on the hub-hub from a place a tranquility, where we hear only birds. Up here the walking is mainly easy with just a few ascents, the scenery and views are spectacular, and there are lots of examples of indigenous flora as well as many a siting of wild goat!

Gentle rural wanderings - Es Capdella & the Galatzó Estate

There are a number of different routes we can take around the village of Es Capdella and the estate lands of the Finca Galatzo, just outside the village. Many different variations make up a number of excellent walks of different lengths and duration. This is a sleepy, rural corner of the island, which has fabulous views of the conical-shaped Puig Galatzo. The whole area is particularly spectacular in February when the almond trees are in full bloom.

Coastal circuit around Cap de Cala Figuera

This is a lovely, easy coastal walk, and unusually for Mallorca, it is virtually flat! Our route follows a narrow coastal path around the edge of the Cap de Cala Figuera peninsular, occasionally dipping down to some of the loveliest beaches on the island. We pass some weird rock and sand cave formations, and the lighthouse at the end of the peninsular. It feels like we're a long way from civilisation with only squawking seagulls for company...

Monastic Wandering from S'Arraco

There are a few different routes from different starting points that we can take to the old Sa Trapa monastery but this is the most challenging one. This walk requires stamina and a good deal of energy. However, it is a fabulous circular route with lots of variety and lots of highlights - a real treat!

Mountain Peaks & Turquoise Bays

A walk of Mallorcan contrasts! Sleepy villages, a tiny fishing port, high peaks, incredible rock formations, torrents, turquoise seas, deserted beaches, and a sophisticated little port with delightful bars, cafes and boutiques to finish off with! This is a fabulous walk that shows the diversity of the south-west of the island to its very best. We have given it a blue boot largely because of a short section that requires a bit of scrambling - otherwise it is relatively easy walking though by no means flat!
