Torrent de Pareis

- Ref. W-NW26
Torrent de Pareis

This is a difficult and potentially dangerous hike - one of the most difficult on the island and it is not for the faint-hearted! In fact it is not so much a hike as an obstacle course, as there are massive boulders to negotiate, slither down and between, and some light abseiling is required in some sections. You need to be fit and well equipped, and prepared for adventure. With all this in mind, this trek is a stunning and unforgettable experience!

Pollensa Heights

- Ref. W-NW25
Pollensa Heights

This spectacular walk is on the edge Pollensa, and from the peaks we climb we get the most sensational views of the whole area - the Bays of Pollensa and Alcudia, Formentor and some of the islands highest neighbouring peaks - Puig Tomir and Puig Roig. It's a hike of many contrasts and variety and we highly recommend it. It's a challenging walk and requires a good level of fitness, as we climb more than 600m. We walk along a combination of dry stone paths, wide farm tracks, narrow goat trails and sometimes we just have to pick our way through the carritx grass and across the rocks to reach the summit of Cuculla de Fartaritx.

Walking and Wine Excursion - Banyalbufar

This fabulous day out combines a delightful walk on the old Postman's route from Esporles to the ancient terraced village of Banyalbufar, where we'll stop and sample some local Malvesia wines and local delicacies prepared especially for us. Banyalbufar consists of ancient Moorish terraces and the local wine growing community specialise in growing the Malvesia grape. They have come together to form a co-operative for their tiny plots, and it is one of the senior members that hosts this wonderful day.

This is a delightful day's itinerary full of variety! We start the day with a fabulous walk, during which we enjoy stunning views of the south western end of the Tramuntana mountain range, and the peace and tranquility of Mallorca's mountains. We see some of the island's most luxurious mansions, as well as lots of glimpses of rustic rural life, and some fine examples of the island's ancient springs and water reservoirs. And finally to finish off the day, we visit a stunning ancient winery for some wine tasting and tapas.

GR221 Stage 5 Tossals Verds to Lluc

This is one of the most rewarding stages of the GR221 - it is a remote and exposed stretch with spectacular scenery and views. You can start the walk either from the Cubér reservoir or from Tossals Verds refuge (the latter if you're completing the full route). One of the many highlights of this fabulous walk is a series of ancient snow-pits that we pass along the way, showing us yet more of the island's rural history.
